Being a part of a community
- By V.K.Shrithi

For many, community is a sense of cohesiveness among a group of people for others it's all about bonding to a deeper level. Be it about people who shared your roots or the culture imbibed in all, being a part of a community is binding.

From a professional perspective, being connected and civic minded is good for many reasons. Obviously, it is a great way to network with businesses and individuals who share in your same beliefs.

The importance of community life is something people realize once they pass through ages. Kids learn wisdom, prudence, discretion, and sensitivity to individual differences by being in close contact with others who share their roots.

They also learn; sake of community needs, to be open to change, to listen to others, and not to run away when things seem frustrating or boring or hopeless

A sense of togetherness lies in the soul of every individual. From our childhood days to our adulthood, we care for our family members, our relatives, our neighbours, and friends. This leads to a need of togetherness among people, which helps in creating a community. We tend to enjoy any festival or social ritual together. This is a kind of community feeling.

We share our work and this division of work leads to our dependency on other people working in different roles. In every walk of our lives, we have to depend on others apart from our family members. The very idea of community comes into being because people like to cooperate with each other. The sense of cooperation begins at home and it leads to a strong feeling that will be for a life time.
